Description

You will serve as the technical point of contact for assigned rocket parts and assemblies, solving manufacturing challenges at suppliers and introducing new products. This role is critical to enabling the Starship program and SpaceX's mission to Mars.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 1+ years experience in manufacturing/inspection of mechanical products
• Understanding of propulsion/fluid system component fabrication processes
• Experience with engineering drawings, modeling, and GD&T
• Knowledge of supplier quality processes (PPAP, APQP, FAIR)

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical point of contact for assigned rocket parts and assemblies at suppliers
• Own new product introduction, including defining manufacturing methods and supplier processes
• Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews early in development
• Scope new forming, cutting, and inspection technologies to improve rate/quality/efficiency
• Lead root cause analysis and containment activities for supplier-related defects
