Description

As a Staff Software Engineer in the Community Support Platform team, you will lead projects to improve the experience for Airbnb guests, hosts, and agents. You'll collaborate with global technical leaders to build and evolve engineering foundations like routing, data platforms, and case management.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one major backend programming language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Scala, Python).
  • Proven track record of delivering end-to-end products globally.
  • Experience with architectural patterns of large-scale web applications.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions and communicate effectively.
  • Passion for user experiences and interest in data systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with cross-functional partners to understand business problems and develop project solutions.
  • Leading execution of projects across the full software development lifecycle.
