You'll join a team building managed PostgreSQL services and a new analytics offering on Aiven's cloud platform. You'll bridge the gap between transactional and analytical databases, automating operations at scale. This role offers a chance to shape a rapidly growing open-source cloud data platform.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Write high-quality, maintainable code and release features.
• Optimize data storage and query performance for OLTP and OLAP.
• Mentor and empower other engineers.
• Automate processes to eliminate repetitive manual work.

📋 Requirements

• Python development skills (5+ years).
• Database expertise in PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, or OracleDB.
• Data engineering experience building ETL pipelines and working with large-scale datasets.
• Distributed systems knowledge and Linux OS experience.

✨ Nice to Have

• OLAP technologies, columnar databases, stream processing
• Infrastructure as code (IaC) experience
• Cloud DBaaS production environment experience
