Description

As a Designer at AKQA, you will apply artistry and craftsmanship to create beautiful, technologically innovative brand and digital experiences. You'll collaborate across disciplines to translate strategic insights into compelling visual narratives and scalable design systems, working in a hybrid environment in central Amsterdam.

Requirements

• 2+ years as a Designer or (Digital) Art Director in an agency or fast-paced creative environment.
• Proficient in Figma and Adobe, with understanding of motion principles and AI tools.
• Strong portfolio showing exceptional craftsmanship and range across brand and digital work.
• Conceptual thinker who designs with meaning and intent.
• Experience with scalable visual systems and multidisciplinary skills in brand identity, art direction, and digital product design.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and execute innovative visual design from concept to delivery across brand, campaign, and digital experiences.
• Translate strategic insights into compelling visual narratives and distinctive design codes.
• Apply and contribute to scalable visual systems ensuring consistency across platforms and channels.
• Present design work clearly and articulate design decisions to internal teams and clients.
• Collaborate effectively with strategists, writers, developers, and other designers to push ideas further.
