You'll develop and validate fast-running physics-based tools for Panthalassa's ocean energy systems. You'll own major modeling workstreams for design, optimization, and fleet deployment decisions. This role offers exposure to cross-disciplinary teams working on cutting-edge renewable energy technologies.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop and validate fast-running hydrodynamics models for design and optimization.
• Build Python tools to interface with modeling codes in Julia and Python.
• Run analyses using metocean data and interpret simulation results.
• Compare reduced-order model outputs against CFD and experimental data.
• Debug issues in hydrodynamic models and simulation workflows.

📋 Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Ocean Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field.
• Strong foundation in fluid mechanics and marine hydrodynamics.
• Strong proficiency in Python for scientific computing and engineering analysis.
• Understanding of boundary element method concepts.

✨ Nice to Have

• Master’s or PhD in relevant field.
• Experience with OrcaFlex, WAMIT, or similar tools.
• Experience with Julia for scientific computing.
