Description

You will develop fluid systems for Starship and Super Heavy vehicles, including high-pressure gas storage, cryogenic fluid management, attitude control, and thermal control systems. Your work will involve sizing analysis, mechanical design, structural analysis, and driving manufacturing and build flow from concept through production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in aerospace, manufacturing, materials, mechanical engineering, or engineering physics
• 1+ years of mechanical or fluids design, analysis, or build experience (student projects or internships qualify)
• Experience with GD&T concepts (preferred)
• Experience with fluid dynamics, FEA, or related modeling (preferred)
• Experience with Siemens NX or similar CAD (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Perform fluids system sizing analysis to determine system requirements
• Transform requirements into hardware concepts and trade architectures
• Design pressurized and unpressurized structures and parts, create CAD models and prints
• Perform structural analysis of parts to ensure survivability
• Execute design for manufacturability changes to enhance production efficiency
