💼 About This Role

You'll perform precision soldering on solar array assemblies for satellite buses at Apex Space. Your work directly impacts spacecraft power generation performance in a fast-growing aerospace startup. You'll handle ultra-thin solar cells and ensure workmanship meets IPC standards.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Perform manual soldering of solar cell strings and interconnects.
• Inspect solder joints visually and with optical aids.
• Maintain cleanroom protocols, ESD controls, and FOD prevention.
• Document assembly activities and non-conformances in production records.

📋 Requirements

• U.S. Person status required (export-controlled data).
• 3+ years of hands-on soldering in electronics or aerospace manufacturing.
• Experience with ribbon soldering, tab soldering, or solar cell stringing.
• Proven ability to handle ultra-thin glass or silicon wafers without damage.

✨ Nice to Have

• IPC-A-610 or IPC J-STD-001 certification.
• Prior experience in solar array or satellite solar panel production.
• Familiarity with automated soldering or reflow processes.
