Description

You will own the end-to-end architecture for a product domain within the JetBrains Cloud Platform, translating product requirements into coherent technical designs while ensuring sustainable evolution and alignment with platform capabilities. Collaborate closely with engineers and product stakeholders to define service boundaries, domain models, and integration contracts, and drive key architectural decisions in a greenfield environment.

• Strong experience in software engineering and system design with complex systems
• Experience owning architecture within a product or domain, balancing delivery needs with long-term sustainability
• Ability to align product needs with platform capabilities and negotiate trade-offs
• Comfortable facilitating architectural decision-making within and across teams
• Comfortable working in an environment where processes are still being formed

Responsibilities

• Own architecture of a specific product domain within JetBrains Cloud Platform and evolve it over time
• Translate product requirements into clear architectural designs and implementation approaches
• Define service boundaries, domain models, data flows, and integration contracts
• Drive key architectural decisions and trade-offs (e.g., API design, persistence, reliability)
• Collaborate with platform architects and other domain owners on cross-cutting decisions
