💼 About This Role

You'll be a key regulatory legal adviser for Airwallex's Australian and New Zealand businesses, sitting at the intersection of regulatory compliance, product, strategy, and financial partnerships. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to shape how we design, launch, and scale products within our ANZ licences, and your advice will be critical in engaging with regulators like APRA, ASIC, RBA, and AUSTRAC as the local landscape evolves. This role is based in Melbourne or Sydney and offers the chance to work on complex regulatory issues in a high-growth fintech.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Advise on regulatory requirements for new and existing products.
• Lead regulatory engagements with APRA, ASIC, RBA, and AUSTRAC.
• Monitor ANZ regulatory trends and translate into practical guidance.
• Advise on compliance frameworks and policies for ANZ entities.

📋 Requirements

• 8-10 years' post-qualification experience in financial services regulation.
• Strong knowledge of Australian financial services regulatory framework (Corporations Act, AML/CTF, APRA prudential standards).
• Experience advising on licensing and regulatory perimeter questions.
• Experience engaging with two or more of APRA, ASIC, RBA, AUSTRAC, and Treasury.
