As a Senior Data Engineer at Roblox, you will architect and build foundational data pipelines, real-time streaming systems, and scalable feature computation frameworks for the Ads platform, enabling rapid experimentation and personalized ad delivery at massive scale.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building production-grade, scalable data systems
• Solid programming in Python and strong SQL knowledge
• Expertise in big-data processing technologies like Spark, Apache Druid, Flink, Ray, Kubeflow
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills
• Data-driven focus on quality metrics and monitoring

Responsibilities

• Build high-performance data pipelines and real-time streaming systems for ML features and training data
• Design and scale robust data infrastructure for ads retrieval and ranking
• Ensure data systems are reliable, observable, privacy-compliant, and performant under high throughput
• Partner with ML and backend engineers to define scalable interfaces for model experimentation
• Contribute to internal platforms and tools to improve developer productivity
