You'll join the Starship Materials Engineering team to improve metals processing and design for rocket components. You'll work on valves, actuators, and regulators for extreme environments. This role offers hands-on impact on cutting-edge propulsion hardware.

๐ŸŽฏ What You'll Do

  • Design and deploy materials and process direction for propulsion and valve systems
  • Increase reliability through material selection, analysis, and development
  • Develop physical, mechanical, and thermal properties for materials
  • Perform root cause investigations using fractography and metallography

๐Ÿ“‹ Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in materials engineering or related engineering discipline
  • 2+ years of professional experience in materials engineering
  • Experience with multiple manufacturing methods: coatings, casting, forging, etc.

โœจ Nice to Have

  • Master's or PhD in materials engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of tribological processes and protective coatings
  • Understanding of mechanical testing methods for metals
