Description

You will build and maintain automation tools for SpaceX's network infrastructure, supporting rocket and spacecraft design, manufacturing, and launch operations. You'll work on scaling network management through Python scripting and automation frameworks, collaborating with network engineers to ensure high uptime and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in CS, engineering, math, or science + 5 years experience OR 8+ years of network automation experience
• Experience with Linux
• Automation skills in Python, Go, shell, or bash
• Experience with source control tools (Git or Subversion)
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Build network automation tools for switch configurations, config backups, software updates, logging, monitoring, and alerting
• Create Python scripts to automate manual network processes
• Measure and maintain uptime and performance of corporate network
• Act as technical product owner for infrastructure tools and software
• Collaborate with network engineers to create maintainable infrastructure
