💼 About This Role

You'll support the development of human-rated space stations by conducting hypervelocity impact tests using light gas guns and ballistic equipment. Your core impact will be ensuring safe and accurate test operations for Vast's Haven space station program. This role offers hands-on work with cutting-edge aerospace hardware.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Conduct hypervelocity impact tests using light gas gun and ballistic equipment
• Set up, calibrate, and operate high-speed cameras, pressure sensors, and vacuum systems
• Prepare test specimens, projectiles, and shielding configurations
• Perform risk assessments and maintain safety compliance

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on technical experience in testing, laboratory, or manufacturing
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
• Willingness to travel and work overtime/weekends

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with ballistic testing or hypervelocity impact testing
• Familiarity with high-speed imaging systems and data acquisition software
• Knowledge of vacuum systems or pneumatic/hydraulic equipment
