💼 About This Role

You'll serve as the primary legal advisor supporting Wave's expansion into new African markets and facilitating growth in alignment with regulatory approvals. You'll partner closely with the business to achieve objectives through robust contracting, effective legal risk management, and clear, practical strategies. This role offers the opportunity to shape legal frameworks in emerging fintech markets.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Draft and negotiate contracts for core products and services
• Implement group legal policies and improve contracting processes
• Manage litigation, disputes, and risk mitigation
• Provide legal support for employment, data privacy, and regulatory matters

📋 Requirements

• Law degree from an accredited law school and qualified in a Francophone African jurisdiction
• 8+ years as an in-house lawyer in technology, finance, fintech, or mobile money
• Fluent in French and English
• Excellent legal drafting and communication skills
