You'll define and elevate core combat mechanics for a high-quality online multiplayer game, collaborating with directors and leads. You'll prototype, iterate, and refine systems to ensure responsive and engaging gameplay. This role offers a fully remote work model and a strong emphasis on work-life balance.
๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Design and implement player combat mechanics including weapons and abilities.
- Collaborate with art, engineering, and design leads on gameplay systems.
- Prototype, iterate, and refine combat systems for polish and balance.
- Advocate for player experience in combat design decisions.
๐ Requirements
- Shipped AAA titles as senior or principal designer on at least two games.
- Expertise in combat design and mechanics within modern multiplayer games.
- Proficiency with Unreal Engine (UE5 preferred) for gameplay prototyping.
- Deep understanding of combat loops, abilities, weapons, and balance frameworks.
