💼 About This Role
You'll establish and lead Field AI's export control and data classification program, ensuring technical data and systems are properly classified and accessed in accordance with U.S. regulations. You'll enable rapid development while maintaining strong compliance discipline across engineering, IT, and legal teams.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Classify hardware, software, source code, and technical data under U.S. export regulations.
- Define and implement graduated access controls based on data classification and regulatory requirements.
- Create and maintain Technology Control Plans and controlled information handling procedures.
- Design and deliver training programs on export control, data handling, and compliance requirements.
📋 Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Law, or related field.
- Seven or more years of experience in export control or trade compliance.
- Hands-on experience with EAR classification and technology control measures.
- Experience working directly with technical teams on access control and data segregation.

- Experience in a startup or high-growth technology company.
- Background in dual-use or defense-adjacent technologies.
- Familiarity with DFARS, NIST 800-171, or similar frameworks.
