Description

You will design and implement backend services and APIs for fraud detection and prevention, collaborate cross-functionally to build scalable tooling, and take ownership of team goals and roadmap. This role involves working in a fully remote team based in Europe, partnering with stakeholders across North America.

Requirements

• 5+ years building backend systems at scale with Python or Kotlin
• Experience with distributed systems and AWS, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Kubernetes
• Strong system design and SQL skills
• Proactive ownership-driven mindset
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, or Chronosphere (nice to have)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services and APIs using Python or Kotlin
• Lead engineers through ambiguity and deliver quarterly goals
• Shape team roadmap and drive cross-team execution
• Collaborate with Fraud Ops, Compliance, Product, ML, and Analytics for scalable fraud tooling
• Improve system reliability, architecture, and observability; participate in on-call rotation
