Description

You will provide pragmatic legal counsel on cybersecurity, data protection, and AI matters, supporting product and engineering teams in product development and launch. You'll also draft and negotiate commercial terms to ensure compliance and risk management in a rapidly evolving health-tech environment.

Requirements

• J.D. with U.S. state bar admission in good standing
• 8+ years in-house experience in privacy, cybersecurity, data protection, or related regulatory matters, ideally in healthcare technology
• Knowledge of healthcare privacy, security, and AI legal and regulatory frameworks
• Ability to translate legal requirements into actionable product and business strategies

Responsibilities

• Stay apprised of changing state and federal privacy, security, and AI laws and direct the business on practical implementation.
• Draft and negotiate privacy, security, and AI terms in agreements such as BAA and Data Security Agreements.
• Advise on AI governance frameworks, ethical AI development, and risk mitigation.
• Support privacy and data governance program covering data classification, retention, quality, access, and disposal.
• Assist with cybersecurity and data protection policies, procedures, and incident response.
