💼 About This Role

You'll own key systems for content moderation and abuse prevention at a learning platform serving tens of millions of students. You'll design scalable backend services to enforce trust and safety policies, collaborating with engineering, security, and product teams. This onsite role in San Francisco requires three days per week in office.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement scalable content moderation systems
• Build backend services for risk-based access and anomaly detection
• Lead initiatives to enhance reliability and observability
• Mentor junior engineers and improve engineering practices

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of backend or platform engineering experience
• Strong experience with Node.js, Go, Python, or TypeScript
• Solid background in distributed systems and service-oriented architectures
• Experience with OAuth2, SSO, MFA, and platform security

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with privacy frameworks like GDPR, COPPA, DMCA
• Experience integrating multi-modal ML models for abuse detection
