Description

You will design and build core notification systems that deliver seamless experiences to guests and hosts globally. You'll collaborate with cross-functional partners, write clean backend code, and participate in on-call rotation to ensure reliability.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a hands-on software engineering role.
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficiency in one or more JVM-based languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Scala.
• Experience building backend systems in a service-oriented or distributed systems environment.
• Ability to drive alignment, manage projects, and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Data-driven decision making and articulating tradeoffs.
• Fluent communication in both English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners to understand requirements, prioritize work, and scope projects.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and align implementation details with teammates.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code for backend services and platform capabilities.
• Participate in on-call rotation and improve operational excellence.
• Debug production issues and improve system reliability.
• Mentor newer engineers through code reviews and design discussions.
