Description

You will partner with customers and internal teams to design scalable cloud architectures for healthcare data solutions, focusing on CMS Interoperability and claims processing. Your work will drive client adoption of Abacus's data management platform and help transform how health plans use data.

Requirements

• Understanding and passion for healthcare data and systems (payer, provider, integration partners)
• Strong working knowledge of US healthcare data including Medical Claims, Pharmacy Claims, Membership/Enrollment, Provider, Clinical
• Domain expertise in CMS Interoperability Mandate and FHIR data structures
• Ability to define solution architecture in design documents
• Broad technical knowledge in infrastructure, data models, databases, service orientation, programming, frameworks, standards, technical modeling
• Experience with one or more cloud vendors (AWS/Azure/GCP) and data platforms (Databricks/Snowflake)
• Understanding of healthcare industry trends and regulations
• Experience translating business needs into technology solutions
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working in payer/healthcare data space

Responsibilities

• Author architecture design documents including data flows, sequence diagrams, and overall system architecture
• Work with business and IT teams to understand current capabilities and define technology strategy roadmap
• Collaborate cross-functionally to implement client projects and reduce technology costs
• Work with Product Management to identify client requirements
• Define solution architecture visions for designated components
• Provide mentorship to internal teams on business needs and use cases
• Provide ongoing support to implementation team
