Description

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer on the Starship program, you will design and build flight hardware like propellant tanks and primary structures. You'll own end-to-end processes, collaborate across systems, and see your designs go from concept to flight.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 5+ years experience in mechanical design and analysis
• Experience with FEA software (NASTRAN, ABAQUS, ANSYS)
• Proficiency in selecting materials and manufacturing methods
• Analytical programming experience (Python, Matlab, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and size vehicle structures based on flight loads
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance mass, cost, and capability
• Create detailed CAD models in NX for components and assemblies
• Build finite element models and perform structural analysis
• Support hardware assembly and testing
