Description

You will support Cala's contract manufacturers by designing fixtures, improving assembly processes, and driving production ramp and continuous improvement for wearable medical devices. Spend significant time on the factory floor solving problems and implementing practical tooling and process improvements that enhance quality, throughput, and operator ergonomics.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong SolidWorks experience and hands-on mechanical design background
• 5+ years in manufacturing or manufacturing engineering (medical device preferred)
• Experience working directly with contract manufacturers
• Familiarity with regulated environments (ISO 13485 / FDA QSR)

Responsibilities

• Support contract manufacturers with production issues and process improvements
• Design and implement assembly, test, and alignment fixtures
• Improve manufacturing processes to increase yield, reduce cycle time, and lower scrap
• Support NPI and production ramp, including design transfer and validation
• Collaborate with Quality, Operations, and Product Development to resolve manufacturing challenges
