Requirements

• 7+ years of industry experience with strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Futuristic thinking, ability to see the bigger picture and growing system needs.
• Growth-oriented, looking to increase impact, responsibility, and ownership over time.
• Proven ability to own and drive complex systems end-to-end.
• Strong experience writing production Python code and working with Postgres databases.
• Solid experience in system design and building resilient, scalable applications.
• Detail-driven with care for code quality, testing, and performance.
• Ability to make practical trade-offs and propose technical solutions.
• Strong understanding of service health, monitoring, fault tolerance, and incident response.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously and asynchronously.
• Strong communication and mentorship skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and iterate on product offerings, APIs, platforms, frameworks and tools.
• Design, develop, and maintain feature buildouts to support a world-class user experience.
• Ensure system stability and reliability.
• Participate in code and design reviews and team-wide on-call rotation.
• Write code with testability, readability, edge cases, and errors in mind.
• Write and review technical design documents.
• Communicate effectively in async manner with team members.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers.
• Take ownership of projects and drive positive impact.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and professional development.
