💼 About This Role

You'll join Alecto, an AI-native law firm, as an early engineer to fix the UK's conveyancing market. You will lead a vertical-specific team with P&L accountability, shipping agentic AI workflows that navigate complex legal processes. Working directly with the founder who scaled Gen H to £1bn in lending, you'll shape product direction from day one.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and deploy agentic AI workflows and LLM-powered systems.
• Collaborate directly with users to define product hypotheses and features.
• Take full ownership of outcomes by fixing systemic problems and refining AI workflows.
• Contribute to a high-craft engineering culture with monthly performance reviews.

📋 Requirements

• Proven experience at high-growth or early-stage startups.
• Track record of driving product direction and scaling complex TypeScript projects.
• Deep technical instinct for building beyond simple prompts, ideally with machine learning or AI agents experience.
