Description

You will join the Developer Tools Team within MongoDB's Database Experience department, building tools like mongosh, the MongoDB MCP Server, and the MongoDB VSCode extension that help users interact with their data and understand deployment health and performance. This role involves backend and full-stack work, collaborating on scalable, high-availability web applications, and participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• At least 4 years experience with backend systems (Node.js, Java, C#, Go, etc.)
• Experience designing and architecting scalable web applications
• Experience working with databases
• Strong collaboration skills and approachability
• Curious and intellectually honest problem solver

Responsibilities

• Design and architect modern, scalable, high-availability web applications
• Develop tools for MongoDB Atlas including mongosh, MCP Server, and VSCode extension
• Collaborate with a diverse team to solve distributed system challenges
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for incident response
• Take on backend tasks and some frontend work
