Description

You will diagnose and repair Caterpillar and allied equipment in the field, with a focus on engines, powertrains, electrical, and hydraulic systems. You'll work independently to troubleshoot issues, control job costs, and document repairs using dealer systems.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
5-8 years experience repairing Caterpillar or heavy equipment
Successful completion of Level One Technician program preferred
Knowledge of hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools, diagnostic software, cranes/rigging
Ability to pass crane qualification and Lock Out/Tag Out Forklift certification

Responsibilities

Analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions
Remove/install parts, disassemble/assemble components, test/adjust assemblies
Perform Caterpillar updates as directed
Order parts through DBS and enter labor time daily
Write service reports documenting diagnosis and repairs
