💼 About This Role

You'll lead Samba's formal FinOps practice on the Internal Measurement team, designing a cloud cost management framework for AWS and GCP. You'll directly influence the bottom line by optimizing cloud spend and driving cost-consciousness across the organization. This role is your chance to shape the future of Samba's cloud footprint.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop and drive cloud cost initiatives across the organization
• Create tools and dashboards for cloud spend visibility and insights
• Build models for cost forecasting, anomaly detection, and attribution
• Manage AWS Savings Plans and GCP Committed-Use Discounts

📋 Requirements

• Extensive experience with AWS or GCP cost and billing systems
• Proven track record of diving into CURs or GCP Billing Reports
• Knowledgeable in FinOps principles and practices
• Ability to write code and develop internal tools for cloud automation

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Terraform and cloud-based Kubernetes (EKS, GKE)
• Familiarity with cost aspects of Databricks and Snowflake
