💼 About This Role

You'll join the Social Experience team to develop data-driven recommendation systems that help users discover content and communities. You'll build and operationalize personalization systems using AWS, Python, and Snowflake. Your work will process large volumes of data to create meaningful user experiences.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and APIs for recommendations.
• Design data models supporting analytical and real-time recommendation systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists and product managers on data capture and processing.
• Implement data processing jobs using Spark, Kafka for large-scale datasets.

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering with data engineering focus.
• Production-grade data pipelines (ETL/ELT) experience.
• Strong SQL and database optimization skills.
• Big data technologies like Spark, Kafka, or AWS/Google Cloud.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with content discovery or recommendation systems.
• Interest in online communities, VR, or VRChat.
• Experience with social networks or user-generated content.
