You'll own the core systems that power our AI workflows, designing schemas and APIs for scalable backend architecture. You'll collaborate tightly with product and AI engineers to define backend contracts. This in-person role in San Francisco lets you build production-ready software that ships weekly with an exceptional team.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and own backend data models and APIs
• Lead schema and system design for AI-native workflows
• Optimize backend performance for scale
• Define backend contracts with product and AI engineers

📋 Requirements

• 3–4 years of backend engineering experience
• Strong experience with relational data modeling and API design
• Comfort with TypeScript, Node.js, and Postgres
• Familiarity with system architecture patterns for scalable apps

• Experience with ORM tools
• High agency and ability to navigate ambiguity
• Strong communicator in fast-moving environments
