You will work on computational modelling, simulation, and learning of excitable tissue dynamics as part of the DigiCells project. You'll develop scalable algorithms for PDEs, apply scientific machine learning, and contribute to computational neuroscience, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Master's degree in mathematics, computer science, physics, or related field
- Strong computational mathematics or scientific machine learning background
- Proficiency in high-level programming language (e.g., Python, Julia, C++)
- Interest in application of computational methods in life sciences
- Previous experience with multilevel methods (e.g., multigrid) is relevant
Responsibilities
- Research on scalable algorithms for numerical solution of partial differential equations
- Develop scientific machine learning methods for algorithm acceleration and modelling
- Apply computational methods in computational neurosciences
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and partners
- Publish research results and complete PhD degree
