Description

In this 6-month contract role, you will audit and fix Scandit's developer documentation to improve searchability, structure, and content gaps, enabling a self-service experience for trial users. You'll work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams to prioritize and ship improvements.

Requirements

• 7+ years in technical writing, developer documentation, or developer experience
• Proven experience writing for developer audiences (SDKs, APIs, integration guides)
• Hands-on with Docusaurus and docs-as-code workflows (GitHub or GitLab)
• Hands-on with Algolia (index config, synonym management, search analytics)
• Strong information architecture skills and autonomous cross-functional work

Responsibilities

• Audit developer documentation for search failures, structural gaps, and high-friction areas
• Improve search performance using Algolia and restructure information architecture
• Identify content gaps and drive fixes with Product and Engineering
• Maintain documentation consistency with Scandit's brand and produce lightweight standards
• Prioritize and review improvements with Product and Engineering Managers
