You'll manage a team of engineers developing Mimir, a cloud-native metrics database, as part of the Grafana Cloud observability platform. Your core impact is enabling high-performance, scalable metrics processing and storage. This role combines people management with technical leadership in a remote-first, open-source environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Manage, hire, and develop a team of engineers
• Provide regular feedback and support career growth
• Act as project manager, define product roadmap with product owners
• Engage in technical conversations and guide technical decisions

📋 Requirements

• Experience managing engineering teams (people manager role)
• Strong technical background in distributed systems
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm
• Go programming language experience

• Computer Science degree or equivalent engineering experience
• Knowledge of cloud-native databases (Mimir, Loki, Tempo)
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry)
