💼 About This Role

You'll contribute to the modernization of AMS's backend architecture, partnering with the team to make technical decisions that improve performance, scalability, and maintainability. You will own and deliver backend features end-to-end, leading efforts to upgrade from Java 11 and evolve toward cloud-native systems. This role offers architectural ownership over a mission-critical product used by elite sports organizations worldwide.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own and deliver backend features end-to-end
• Design and optimize API workflows and PostgreSQL data models
• Lead modernization of legacy systems and eliminate deprecated code
• Partner with Platform Engineering on CI/CD and infrastructure

📋 Requirements

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Java and legacy system modernization
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and RESTful API design
• Hands-on experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Python, TypeScript, or C#
• Proven migration of monoliths to containerized architectures
• Background in data-intensive or security-sensitive environments
