Description

You will lead documentation efforts for a Canonical team, combining technical communication with subject-matter expertise. You'll work with the Diátaxis approach, collaborate with colleagues, and help elevate documentation standards across engineering, business operations, or other parts of the company.

Requirements

• Excellent collaborator and communicator
• Cares deeply about functional written communication
• Technical writer with programmer’s mindset or programmer with documentation record
• Experience with Linux, command line, Git, and documentation markup languages (reStructuredText, MyST)
• BSc/BA degree or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and improve software and other documentation
• Help team members make effective documentation contributions
• Influence product development as an expert user
• Engage with user communities to ensure documentation meets their needs
• Collaborate with documentation peers to advance documentation practice
