💼 About This Role

You'll lead material science and pre-formulation efforts to support product innovation at the leading health platform Hims & Hers. This role bridges early-stage drug concepts with final formulations, ensuring quality, stability, and scalability. You'll help shape how these capabilities evolve remotely.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead physicochemical characterization of drug substances using XRD, DSC/TGA, Raman, SEM
• Evaluate drug properties like solubility, pKa, logP, hygroscopicity for formulation strategy
• Design and interpret excipient compatibility studies to ensure product stability
• Manage external partner relationships for analytical testing and product development

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's in Materials Science, Chemistry, or related with 10-15+ years experience (or Master's/PhD equivalent)
• 2-5+ years of people management experience
• Strong background in material characterization techniques and analytical methods
• Deep understanding of physical chemistry and drug material properties including BCS

• Experience in pharmaceutical development of multiple dosage forms
• Familiarity with risk assessment for critical material attributes
