Description
You will support the development of landing gear brake control systems for an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, owning the technical direction of designs and managing delivery, certification, and testing. You'll coordinate with suppliers, perform performance analysis, and conduct equipment- and system-level tests.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering or related
- 5+ years in mechanical design, landing gear design, or brake system design
- Demonstrated ownership or leadership in engineering projects
- Proficiency in CAD, kinematic analysis, structural analysis (hand calculations and FEA)
- Experience with GD&T, CFR Part 23/27 compliance, materials selection
Responsibilities
- Support development of Landing Gear Brake Control Systems
- Own technical direction of designs and manage delivery, conformity, test, and certification
- Coordinate with suppliers and manage technical deliverables
- Perform performance analysis (braking energy, multibody dynamic landing analysis)
- Write, review, and conduct equipment- and system-level tests; review flight test data
