Description
As a Compensation Manager at Carta, you'll lead total rewards initiatives, consult on compensation strategy, and partner with HR, recruiting, and finance teams to build equitable and scalable reward programs in a high-growth environment.
Requirements
- 7+ years experience in compensation/total rewards; private/high-growth company preferred
- Advanced data management skills with Google Sheets/Excel (lookups, pivots, queries, macros)
- Proficiency with HR tools (Workday preferred) and salary survey participation (Radford preferred)
- Strong understanding of compensation principles, job architecture, market pricing, and equity administration
- Proven collaborator with strong communication, stakeholder management, and consulting skills
Responsibilities
- Manage total rewards initiatives including compensation planning cycles, market analysis, job architecture, and global program design
- Consult as subject matter expert on total compensation (base, bonus, equity), job evaluation, and market benchmarking
- Prepare analytics tools, dashboards, and communications to drive consistency in total rewards decisions
- Partner with HR Business Partners to develop job architectures and compensation structures
- Drive cross-functional projects from planning to change management
