Description

You will lead backend development for Firefox Monitor, a privacy-focused tool that notifies users of data breaches. You'll build and maintain cloud-native Node.js/TypeScript systems, own cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS), and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, privacy-first features.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience with strong backend focus
• Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS)
• Experience with event-driven systems and monitoring/alerting tools
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead backend development in Node.js/TypeScript within a Next.js full-stack architecture
• Build and maintain integrations with external data sources like Have I Been Pwned
• Build and maintain event-driven systems with Google Cloud Pub/Sub and own cloud infrastructure on GCP and AWS
• Own and evolve the data layer including PostgreSQL schema design and Redis caching
• Triage and resolve production issues, maintaining monitoring and alerting with OpenTelemetry, Sentry, Prometheus, Grafana
