Description

You will manage and develop a team of hourly associates in an Inspection Center to achieve production targets, ensuring vehicle quality and safety. You'll oversee day-to-day activities, provide coaching, and maintain adherence to performance standards. This role involves hands-on work in a fast-paced environment to support Carvana's reconditioning process.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience using computers
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Demonstrated functional expertise in Carvana's reconditioning process
• Demonstrated understanding of reconditioning processes and lean principles
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license with clean driving record in last 3 years
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently
• Ability to stand for extended periods with frequent physical activity
• Ability to use safety equipment
• Ability to maintain high volume and quality in fast-paced environment
• Ability to delegate tasks effectively
• Ability to communicate professionally and courteously
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Ability to resolve complex issues with guidance
• Ability to work overtime and on weekends
• Ability to work variable schedules

Responsibilities

• Manage movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center safely
• Meet or exceed inventory production goals daily, weekly, and monthly
• Oversee day-to-day activities of assigned team
• Provide coaching, development, and performance management
• Create a positive work environment and communicate expectations clearly
• Prevent and resolve conflict among team members
• Monitor adherence to systems, policies, and procedures
• Review and approve mechanical and physical defects of incoming inventory
• Lead production associates and partner with General Manager on repairs or rejections
• Train team using Quality Control standards
• Identify and complete repairs effectively to minimize re-work
• Ensure safety and prevent hazardous conditions
• Manage multiple associates and their development
