💼 About This Role

You'll own the design of welded steel towers for Zipline's drone delivery ground systems, developing the next generation of infrastructure that enables global logistics. Your work will directly impact the reliability and scalability of a system that makes millions of deliveries. This role offers the chance to solve complex problems from first principles on a fast-paced, high-impact team.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design structural components, mechanisms, and electronics integration for towers
• Perform structural hand calcs, FEA, and clean CAD designs
• Collaborate with electrical, software, civil, NPI, and supply chain teams
• Rapidly iterate and downselect based on analysis and prototype test data

📋 Requirements

• 3 product programs from concept to production
• Strong fundamentals in load estimation, classic mechanics, and structural hand calcs
• FEA and clean CAD designs (NX preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

✨ Nice to Have

• NX is your primary CAD tool
• Knowledge of FOS and margin for human safety critical applications
• Hands-on welding experience for prototyping
