💼 About This Role

You'll join a small platform team building, scaling, and maintaining core services and infrastructure for Knock's notification product. You'll have high ownership over improving reliability and scalability. This role stands out for its engineer-led culture and support for AI tools in daily work.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Adopt and modernize a Terraform-backed EKS cluster
• Troubleshoot and scale Postgres, queues, and databases
• Identify scaling issues via telemetry in Datadog and Honeycomb
• Maintain >99.95% uptime and improve developer experience

📋 Requirements

• 4+ years experience as a DevOps engineer in a startup
• Experience with production Kubernetes clusters using IaC
• Experience with complex AWS deployments (multi-account, EKS)
• Significant experience with Aurora Postgres, Mongo, or ClickHouse

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with SQS, Kinesis, or Kafka
• Experience with canaries and blue/green deploys
