You'll take on complex infrastructure challenges, designing for extreme throughput and building resilient systems on the backend team at Amplitude, the leading AI analytics platform. You'll work closely with product and partner engineering teams to shape the roadmap. This role offers the opportunity to be a technical anchor, leading design discussions and mentoring engineers.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Take infrastructure projects from ideation to production
• Design and build highly reliable, maintainable backend services
• Optimize performance and cost of data infrastructure
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and other engineering teams
• Lead engineering discussions and advocate for best practices

📋 Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related technical field
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years working in Java
• Strong foundation in programming and algorithms

• Experience with stream processing or message queues
• Experience with Kubernetes or Terraform
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers
