💼 About This Role

You'll design custom production equipment, fixtures, and tooling for Zipline's autonomous delivery systems. You'll own projects end-to-end, from concept through commissioning, enabling safe and scalable builds of aircraft and ground infrastructure. This role offers the chance to impact real-world logistics with a global leader in drone delivery.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design custom production tooling, fixtures, and automated equipment.
• Develop detailed 3D CAD, drawings, BOMs, and maintenance plans.
• Partner with manufacturing engineers to capture process requirements.
• Support build events by troubleshooting tooling on the floor.
• Drive vendor builds from quote through acceptance.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years experience designing manufacturing equipment or tooling.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Siemens NX proficiency (or other 3D CAD).
• Experience releasing custom tooling for electro-mechanical assembly.

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with pneumatics, sensors, and linear motion hardware.
• Experience with DFM/DFA and poka-yoke.
