💼 About This Role

You'll build the data intelligence layer for Deepgram's voice AI platform, creating dbt models and agent tooling that allow AI to navigate data autonomously. Your work enables autonomous agents to drive net revenue retention and operational excellence. You'll be the founding engineer of a new team.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and maintain high-fidelity dbt and SQL models for usage-based revenue
• Develop agent tools and permissions frameworks for querying Athena and Salesforce
• Serve as technical bridge to Engineering/Infra for agent-ready data contracts
• Ingest internal calls with Deepgram models to turn audio into queryable insights

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years in high-growth Data or AI Engineering roles
• Mastery of SQL and Python with proven RAG/Agentic systems on structured data
• Familiarity with usage-based SaaS metrics like consumption, gross margins, NRR
• Comfort with work-in-progress infrastructure and turning messy data into business logic

• Experience with real-time billing and consumption systems
• Open-source contributions to data or AI projects
