Description
You will guide development of future versions of the Raptor engine and own one or more systems end-to-end. Your responsibilities include defining requirements, developing operations, verifying capability, and ensuring vehicle compatibility while leading test planning, data review, and anomaly resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 1+ years experience with pressurized fluid systems
- 1+ years experience in hardware design, manufacture, assembly, test and/or flight
- Willing to travel in support of test and launch operations
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed
Responsibilities
- Own system-level processes and operations from design through testing and flight
- Establish hardware and operational requirements ensuring interfacing systems meet requirements
- Communicate system capability and requirements for cohesive engine/vehicle integration
- Drive development roadmap for new Raptor versions: convert programmatic goals into requirements
- Lead development testing: develop test plans, review data, troubleshoot, drive anomalies to closure
