Description

As a Senior Analyst in the India Analytics team, you will work with Payment Analytics to develop robust insights and drive data-driven decisions. You will leverage Airbnb's rich data to define metrics, build analytical tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems.

Requirements

• 6+ years of industry experience
• Advanced degree (Masters or PhD plus) in a quantitative field
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to conduct rigorous analysis and communicate conclusions
• Proven track record of delivering full stack data projects from inception to business impact
• Advanced level proficiency in SQL/NoSQL, Python, R, SAS
• Intermediate knowledge of data foundations like Presto, Hive, Teradata, Spark
• Familiarity with EDA, hypothesis testing, regression models, A/B testing, etc.
• Beginner level understanding of statistical and machine learning techniques, Tableau
• Positive and solution-oriented mindset
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge and experience in payments processes is a plus
• Knowledge and experience in risk/compliance processes is a plus

Responsibilities

• Execute projects with regular direction and set quarterly roadmaps
• Ensure data quality and data integrity for analysis and reporting
• Perform data modeling for entities including customers, hosts, cases, and agents
• Execute ad-hoc reporting, data investigations, and root cause analysis into operational areas
• Devise business metric frameworks and optimization models
• Influence data-driven decisions across global sites via business reviews and self-serve portals
• Experiment with new policy or product features to mitigate risk
• Influence machine learning models in partnership with DS/Engineering teams
