💼 About This Role

You'll design and teach courses aligned to the Newcomer Program goals of academic, language, and social-emotional growth for adolescent immigrant students. You'll ensure students achieve LEAP test readiness and English proficiency growth while earning the National Career Readiness Certificate. This role offers an additional stipend for curriculum development.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement syllabi, unit plans, and assessments aligned with course standards.
• Integrate students' cultural perspectives to cultivate identities as active learners.
• Collect and analyze student performance data to inform instructional practices.
• Create course materials using provided curriculum and self-developed content.

📋 Requirements

• Associate's degree in Education, TESL, or related subject area.
• Valid Louisiana teaching certification.
• Experience working with adolescent immigrant students strongly preferred.
• Cultural competency in diverse backgrounds of immigrant students.

✨ Nice to Have

• Teaching experience strongly preferred.
• Oral and written Spanish proficiency preferred (required for Math).
