Description

You will support the commissioning and startup of mechanical systems in complex construction and industrial environments. Working closely with engineers, contractors, and controls teams, you will ensure systems are installed, tested, and operating per project requirements, from design review through final handover.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, and process systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and sequences of operation.
• Familiarity with commissioning processes including pre-functional and functional testing.
• Knowledge of system startup activities such as flushing, balancing, and rotation checks.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in field environments.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning activities across all project phases from design review through startup, testing, and final handover.
• Review mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and sequences of operation to understand system design and identify potential issues.
• Perform installation verification and QA/QC walkdowns to ensure construction meets design and specifications.
• Execute pre-functional checklists and assist with system startup including flushing, balancing, and rotation checks.
• Support functional performance testing and document commissioning issues through to resolution.
