Description

As a Lead EHS Engineer at SpaceX, you will oversee environmental and safety programs at the Rocket Development Test Site, ensuring compliance with regulations and driving continuous improvement. You will lead a team of EHS engineers, manage budgets, and collaborate with department leadership to proactively meet regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (engineering with emphasis in occupational health and safety or environmental engineering preferred)
• 4+ years of experience in design, development and operational oversight of EHS disciplines or relevant engineering field
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• US citizen or permanent resident (ITAR requirement)

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain regulatory and site-specific occupational safety and environmental policies
• Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards
• Develop recommendations for remedial actions and improve workplace safety and EHS program
• Perform environmental and safety compliance due diligence audits
• Manage EHS team, including hiring, performance, and budget
